Winter fun in the heart of the Ski Amadé
The location of the Youth Hostel in Radstadt is just great. The Simonyhof is situated near the family-friendly ski circuit Radstadt-Altenmarkt with its modern 8-seater cable car.The nearby ski areas of Zauchensee, Flachau, Schladming and Reiteralm in the Ski Amadé and the high alpine ski area of Obertauern are all easily accessible. A wide range of other winter activities are also available.

SkiingYou'll have fun skiing here. There are a wealth of well prepared pistes and modern lifts in the Ski Amadé ski area to choose from - all on one lift pass. Ski hire and ski schools are available. A shuttle bus runs to the Königslehen lift. |

Cross Country Skiing
On the valley floor of the Radstädter Tauern, the Tauern Trail leads right past the Simonyhof. Excellent conditions inspire beginners and skating enthusiasts alike. |

Tobogganing & Sledging
Whizz down the mountain on sharp runners. Start on the gentle slope behind the Youth Hotel - on sledges or lorry inner tubes. The nearby Königslehen toboggan run, with its cable car up the mountain, is floodlit. |
Snowshoeing
Head out in the fresh air. Clip on your snowshoes or warm winter boots and off you go into the snowy countryside. How about a fun snowball fight or make your own tracks in the snow. |
Horse-drawn Sleigh Rides
Now it gets really romantic. Wrapped up warm in cosy blankets, horses pull the sleights through the snowy countryside. The winder wonderland around Radstadt and the horses are a highlight for every nature-lover. |

SwimmingAfter a few days on the piste an exciting day in the Therme Amadé (in Altenmarkt) with its looping water slide is just what you need to relieve you muscles and relax your body. |
CurlingCurling with friends and colleagues at the curling rink by the Sports Centre in Radstadt is a fun evening activity. Everyone gives their best trying to reach the target. |
Ice Skating
Girls perform pirouettes on the natural ice rink in Radstadt, by the Sports Centre. Boys play exciting ice hockey matches on the large ice rink. Ice skate hire available on site. |
